Our 9th anniversary

Having your anniversary fall on New Years makes every New Years eve pretty special in our book. This year we went again to the Anniversary Inn. This time we took the Rose Garden Sweet. It was lovely.

Waterfall hot tub, roses everywhere, and pretty gazebo laced with flowers, and a BIG screen TV. We had a nice relaxing time, and rang in he new year and our 9th year in style!

We have stayed at the Anniversary Inn many times. Our first experience was on our Honeymoon where we tried the Swiss Family Robinson Sweet, and the 49'ers cabin. A few Years ago our sweet Awnalisa gave us a nights stay for Christmas and we used it for Valentines and stayed in he Jungle room. Each room has a cute theme and they spare NO expense. We look forward to our next visit!

Then we went to Vegas to enjoy a little warmer weather and see the attractions for 4-5 days. Nothing funner than to play just about anywhere with my sweetie!

Lochlan & Ethan got reaquainted. They are 2 weeks apart but live far apart!



We missed our missionarys, but had a wonderful visit with them on Christmas day!

Dinner with Elder Hill (one of Drew's companions)

Elder David Hill was Drew's companion in Edmonton. He just came home form his mission and came o dinner last Sunday at our house. Brandon, Josh, Calley & Ethan and Josiah & Sharla & girls came over too.

It was a lot of fun and he told us some experiences he and Drew had on their missions.

We also celebrated Josiah's birthday. 29 years old. We had Turtle pie (Josiah's favorite).

December 2008 Ethan's sees Santa

Ethan came to our ward Chrsitmas party (with his parents) and he sat on Santa's lap. He was darling and so brave and happy!

Thanksgiving at the Ranch 2008

Welcome home Gramma & Budd from their Mexico city mission!

We had a nice Thanksgiving dinner at the Dixon chaple

Everyone came at 1PM to eat and afterwards we played games and visited for 5 hours until 6 PM when others came and we had dessert.

The kids had a ball, we played a "guess the in-law" game with Jeff P., Glen W., James A., and Marie L. as contestants. It was funning learning some fun facts about them and trying to guess who answered what!

There were paper and pens to write notes to our three missionaries 2 Elder Mccartys (Kyler and Drew) and Elder Lane (William). There were Fun crafts for the kids to do also.

It was fun remembering our family reunions when I was a kid playing with our cousins and running around the cultural hall having so much fun!

Kurt and GiGi Rassmussen came and the missionaries too!

We had a few of the young married couples showed up with family and friends which was a nice surprise!

Visit the ranch Nov 2008

When we arrived Saturday morning the ranch was planning a pig roast. The missionaries arrive at 5AM to get the ground ready start the fire and prepare to cook. Here is the pit after the pig was cooked and removed. I will try to get more pictures that were taken before, during and afterwards. We didn't have our camera out there.

We went to Ben's work on Wednesday to see his operation,. He is in charge of the green houses and has such a cool set up all automatic that he controls all the heating, venting, watering, etc from an awesome and complex computer system

Josh Calley and Ethan showed up Wednesday morning on their way to Napa to stay at Josh's family's house. We took Ethan out to see the Horse, tractor and over to Marie's to see the new puppies. He was wide-eyed and darling! Gramma was as usual tickled to see them!





On Saturday afternnon Glen and I walked down to the end of the pasture to look at the area where we might build a house someday if it ever gets re-zoned. Here ae som pictures we took!
